How to Plan your Holiday

Planning a holiday is not easy to begin with. It can be quite stressful and disorderly if not managed on time. Reasons why holiday makers ending up paying to much is because of lack of organisation, choosing the wrong package and choosing the wrong destination. One common mistake is relying on the internet for cheap packages and cheap flights without knowing if it is the best deals in the market. I am not saying that we don’t use the internet to search for our dream holidays. Booking online is very convenient and much cheaper compared to walking in a travel agency. What I am saying is before we decide booking online we should prepare to plan rather than plan to prepare.

Here are 5 dos and don’ts to help you prepare to plan.

Dos

1. Compare two destinations you like before you decide to book.
2. Choose a hotel accommodation that offer discounted price when you book in advance.
3. Book your airport parking three months in advance. It’s much cheaper.
4. Paying credit card for your flights earns you points and perks.
5. Know the terms and conditions of a travel insurance before you buy.

Don’ts

1. Don’t book for a package holiday. You might end up choosing the wrong destination because of the cheap price.
2. Don’t buy a travel insurance in advance. You  might regret it later if you wish to cancel your holiday.
3. Don’t book for a cheap flight. It may cost you more at commuting because the airport location is very far from where you live or very far to your point of destination.
4. Don’t park your car at the airport on your departure date. The parking ticket is very expensive than you imagine.
5. Don’t book for cheap accommodation. What you pay is what you get.
